Image Cropper

Cropping is about deciding what an image is of, and this lets you drag out the region to keep — or choose a fixed ratio such as 1:1 or 16:9 — and redraws just that region onto a new canvas for export. Everything outside the selection is discarded. Fixed ratios are the reason most people arrive: profile pictures, thumbnails and card images are cropped by their destination anyway, and choosing the ratio yourself is how you control what survives that crop rather than letting a platform cut through someone's face. The crop is permanent in the exported file, so keep your original if a different framing might be wanted later. Because the work happens in the page, the picture is never uploaded — useful when the image is a screenshot containing information you would rather not hand to a web service.
