Color Palette Extractor

Pulling a colour scheme out of a photograph, a screenshot or a piece of existing branding usually means squinting at an eyedropper. This samples the image's pixels, groups them by similarity and reports the dominant colours with hex and RGB values ready to copy. Designers use it to build a palette around a hero image, to match a deck to a product photograph, or to recover approximate brand colours from a logo when no style guide is to hand. One characteristic shapes how you read the output: the palette reflects what covers the most area, which is not always what the image feels like it is about, so a large muted background can outrank a small vivid subject. Treat the result as a starting point rather than a finished scheme — extracted colours frequently need adjusting before a text-and-background pair reaches accessible contrast.
